About Angelica Tafoya-Padilla

Angelica graduated from West Mesa High School in 1998. Upon graduation, she obtained employment with the Second Judicial District Court, while employed and with the support of her family. She was able to attend college courses in the evenings and weekends at Central New Mexico Community College, in pursuit of a degree in Accounting. She has continued her career path as a public servant for the State of New Mexico for the last 21 years. She has found joy in helping the public and protecting the financial stability of government funding, As an Internal Auditor for the New Mexico Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, she has been able to protect the State and Federal funds allocated to helping individuals with Disabilities by ensuring resources and funding are available to succeed in accomplishing their vocational goals to obtain integrated employment. She has been a New Mexico native all of her life. She has resided in Albuquerque for 26 years and in Rio Rancho for the last 14 years.It has been her pleasure serving our state and constituents.
